19th Hamburg FIM – Come-Backs & Restarts

On September 25, 2025, Mindspace Hamburg opened its doors for the 19th Hamburg Forum Interim Management (FIM) of the AIMP – one of the most important industry events for interim managers in the D/A/CH region. Under the motto “Come-Backs & Restarts – The power of new beginnings” the event was all about change, resilience and dealing with challenges with confidence.

The North invites – and the industry follows
The AIMP members met at the Westfield Center in the afternoon for intensive strategy discussions and to plan future formats. GOiNTERIM was strongly represented as a co-organizer, and our Managing Director, Dr. Martin L. Mayr, also took an active part in the exchange and contributed to the lively discussion with his perspectives. The AIMP has big plans, the change continues. New members, lots of energy and a real spirit of optimism. The 2026 Annual Forum will also have a new look and will be a blast … stay tuned!

The official evening began with an elegant champagne reception, which set the scene for exchange and networking.

In addition to the organizers of the AIMP, DDIM Chairwoman Marei Strack opened the evening with motivating words and a clear focus on the importance of new beginnings for interim managers and the entire industry. A topic that is very important in interim management.

Artificial intelligence as a lever for impact in interim management
Thomas Landwehr ‘s keynote speech provided an important focus in terms of content. He demonstrated in a practical and well-founded manner how artificial intelligence (AI) is far more than just a technical tool – it can transform processes in a targeted manner, save time and thus create real added value. Using specific case studies, he explained how interim managers can use AI to make data-based decisions and thus measurably increase the success of their mandates. GOiNTERIM also sees AI as a key future technology that will have a lasting impact on the industry and is already acting as an important innovation partner for its interim managers.

Mental strength and stamina: inspiration from boxing world champion Maria Lindberg
In the second presentation, multi-award-winning boxing world champion Maria Lindberg inspired the audience with personal insights into her path to peak performance. Her plea for willpower, perseverance and the ability to use setbacks as an opportunity struck a chord with the participants. Her story was an impressive example of how courage and mental strength are just as important in professional life as technical expertise.

Networking and community – bridging the gap between experience and innovation
The subsequent get-together with wine and finger food provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions, valuable contacts and the establishment of new collaborations. The dynamics of the newly founded AIMP Interim Manager Community in the D/A/CH region were particularly noticeable, bringing a breath of fresh air and a clear focus on the future to the event.

Summary
The 19th Hamburg AIMP Forum Interim Management impressively demonstrated that transformation is not a burden, but an opportunity – and interim managers are the key players in actively shaping change. The combination of technological innovation, personal resilience and a strong network makes the future of the industry vibrant and promising. The combination of local proximity and many years of industry expertise ensured a professional and inspiring implementation of the event.
