DDIM.REGIONAL // MUNICH – Artificial intelligence in the mandate – what counts is the impact

How artificial intelligence creates measurable added value in interim management – that was the topic on the evening of September 11, when around 100 interim managers and industry experts gathered at Haus Der Bayerischen Wirtschaft for the event “ Artificial intelligence in the mandate – what counts is the impact ” met.

Full house, concentrated expertise and a clear message
AI unfolds its true benefits where it transforms processes – not where only tools are in use.

In an impressive keynote speech, Dr. Torsten Pedit (Salzwelten) and Stefan Erschwendner (Frontira) presented a practical live case study: 28,800 emails were analyzed in just five days, resulting in savings of over €100,000. This impressively illustrated how smart process automation through AI can create significant added value for companies.

Under the motto AI is more than ChatGPT! Interim managers too?“, the interim management community intensively discussed how artificial intelligence can be used efficiently in interim mandates. The response was great – a clear signal of how relevant the topic is for the future of interim management.

Conclusion from the discussion: AI should have long been an integral part of client solutions. It will no longer be possible to be an interim manager without AI skills – this strategy has gained further momentum in the last two years.

The participants experienced how interim managers can integrate AI into their mandates in a targeted manner – practically, effectively and with real impact.

In four interactive workshops, the participants engaged in an intensive exchange of ideas about the specific applications, challenges and potential of AI in interim management. It became clear that interim managers are indispensable as bridge builders between technology and business impact – because technical innovations alone are not enough to ensure sustainable transformation.

A big thank you goes to the dedicated organization team with Verena Bammert, Malte Borchardt and Martin Ludwig Mayr. The bundled diversity and expertise makes such events a valuable meeting point for the exchange and further development of the industry.

Artificial intelligence is not just hype, but a decisive lever for greater impact in interim management. If you want to deliver real impact, you need to use AI sensibly – and have experienced leaders at your side.
