On Monday, the DÖIM regional event took place in Salzburg with a record number of 45 participants – we even had to organize extra rows of chairs.
This was probably also due to the very topical and exciting presentation by Mr. Gubi – How to make decisions under extreme time and financial pressure: Managing in times of crisis – the Windhager story” touched us all, as the many questions about it showed. Stefan Gubi, former Managing Director at Windhager, shared his experiences of the turbulent events, especially from 2023, in a very personal way. Windhager is one of the major insolvencies in Austria that has made the headlines. The presence of former senior partner Werner Windhager and his wife was met with great applause from the guests. “The participation of the former owner was a great honor for us,” says Mayr, Chairman of the Board of DÖIM and Managing Director of GOiNTERIM.
In his welcome address and introduction, Martin L. Mayr provided us with insights into the interim management market. Cautiously optimistic with a positive outlook – this is the basic assessment against the backdrop of further demand for specialized expertise, e.g. for transformation and digitalization tasks.
Enjoyment and networking in an open and relaxed atmosphere rounded off the (late) evening with a rich buffet and interesting conversations. Beer, wine, water and juice – there was something for every taste.
The interim community is very active, growing and shows that networking and the exchange on current cases and topics are very important.
