On September 21, the State Prize for Consulting “Management Consulting and IT” of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economics was awarded at the Vienna Hofburg during the Austrian IT and Consulting Day.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your commitment to the State Prize for Consulting! There is a lot of work behind the ratings – THANK YOU for that!“ according to Ms. MMag. Bianca Pilz, Organizing Director, “It was again a great pleasure for me to work with you!“
This is the very friendly feedback for the jury work of our managing director Dr. Martin L. Mayr.
Building Digital Solutions 421 GmbH from Vienna emerged as the proud winner with its project “Brantner AI and Robotic (B-AIR)”.
The project aims to give discarded objects a second life and close the waste management loop. The system, developed by physicist Dr. Rene Heinzl, can recognize all types of plastics in real time, with the company’s own robots in Wölbling, Lower Austria, accurately separating the sorted objects from the rest of the waste stream. It is up to the customer to decide which plastics to use. However, the primary focus is on separating PET bottles from the general plastics stream.
Jury statement:
“The project features state-of-the-art technologies, such as AI and robotics. It combines ecology, and thus the circular economy, with economy in an exemplary manner – by increasing efficiency through automation and increasing profitability. Furthermore, the project features a comprehensive consulting service that accompanied all phases of the project and also focused on exportability from the very beginning. The project was realized in a short time. The solution is already in full use in practice and further future potential is equally given.”
