DÖIM Regional Event in Vienna – Agile Leadership and Restructuring

The DÖIM regional event in Vienna scored with exciting presentations, intensive discussions, great networking and a cool location. Through the exchange and communication of the interim management scene, the interim industry here has been greatly revived.

Our Managing Director Martin L. Mayr moderated the evening as Chairman of the Board and presented the current market situation and highlights from the latest AIMP study.

Topic focus – Leadership of agile teams

More and more frequently, one encounters agile teams in companies. While these used to be found only in IT, today more and more teams are guided by agile values and principles and use agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban. As an interim manager, it is important to understand what makes such teams tick, which faux pas you prefer to avoid, and which leadership styles are more effective here.

In his keynote presentation, Andreas Schobesberger addressed the differences to traditional, hierarchical teams and also clarified what interim managers themselves can do to successfully lead agile teams.

Topic focus – Restructuring

Thomas Tschol used a current case study to illustrate the restructuring of a well-known compressor manufacturer  as an outstanding example of the successful use of interim managers in a crisis: Economically successful restructuring in a very complex environment – characterized by a high number of stakeholders, a large number of major projects running in parallel, and challenging internal and external communication.
