At On May 9 and 10, 2025, Burg Schwarzenstein once again became the meeting place for the interim management industry. The AIMP Annual Forum brought together leading experts, decision-makers and service providers to discuss current developments, strategic challenges and future opportunities. In the midst of a rapidly changing corporate world, the focus this year was on one central topic: corporate transformation.
The AIMP – Association of Interim Management Professionals – has established itself as a mainstay of interim management in the DACH region in recent years. It represents the interests of over 10,000 interim managers and stands for transparency, quality and professional exchange. The annual forum reflects these values in a special way – as a platform for well-founded content, practical impulses and valuable networking opportunities.
A key component of this year’s success was once again the close cooperation with GOiNTERIM. As a long-standing partner of the AIMP, GOiNTERIM sets clear accents in the practical orientation of the forum. Particularly noteworthy here is the commitment of Dr. Martin L. Mayr, Managing Director of GOiNTERIM and Deputy Chairman of the AIMP, who has been intensively involved in the further development of interim management for many years – both in terms of content and strategy.
Impulses from practice – with a view to the big picture
A varied program offered participants in-depth insights into the various facets of corporate transformation. The specialist presentations by Oliver Sowa, Andreas Suter, Thomas Braunagel and Ansgar Frederik Frische, among others, are worth mentioning here. A broad view of the topic of interim and transformation from different perspectives.
Special attention was also paid to the interactive workshops, in which real transformation scenarios were worked on together with the audience. Ansgar Frische from the Abacco Solution Group gave a practical demonstration of how transformations can be better structured and communicated using suitable visualization methods.
Figures, data, perspectives
Another highlight was the presentation of the most comprehensive interim management study in the German-speaking world to date. For the first time, interim providers, clients and interim managers were surveyed together in a 360-degree study – with revealing results for the further development of the industry.
Conclusion: Interim management as a strategic success factor
The AIMP Annual Forum 2025 has shown once again: Interim management has long been a central component of modern corporate management. In times of change, specialist knowledge, implementation strength and experience are required – qualities that interim managers bring to the table in a targeted manner. Constructive cooperation strengthens the industry and makes a significant contribution to further establishing interim management as a strategic instrument.
We would like to thank all participants for the open exchange and look forward to the next AIMP Annual Forum – and to the continuation of many stimulating discussions and collaborations.
