All Interim Managers pass through a standardized application process

The application process has to be transparent and comprehensible for all involved parties. As an interim manager you can get an idea and overview of GOiNTERIM, the requirements and the team resp. our approach. You get everything to decide if you want to start a long term and close partnership with GOiNTERIM. In addition assures a clear selection process the high quality standard within the company GOiNTERIM. In connection with our goal to setup a team of the best and most successful interim managers the selection process is an important piece.

1. Submit your application

If you are convinced from GOiNTERIM and our services and the high quality standard and you fulfill our selection criteria then submit you application. For a first meeting and initial conversation we would need following documents: Cover note, updated CV/résumé including project list, giving your availability and daily rate.

GOiNTERIM criteria for interim manager

  • First-class university degree with specialization in business administration and/or technic or a comparable qualification
  • Minimum 15 years business experience, thereof 10 or more years
    • in management and leadership positions on first and second hierarchy Level
    • or in project management
    • or proven experience and successes in an functional area (without leadership experience)
  • Proven successes in interim Management (resp. project experience in permanent positions)
  • Generalist with deep knowledge in all key areas and functions of a company
  • Optional functional know-how in one or more businesses
  • Fast and unerring in decisions and there implementation
  • Doer and realization mindset
  • Perfect communicator, persuasiveness and sovereign appearance

2. Evaluation through GOiNTERIM

Your application and documents will be evaluated and audited by minimum two partners in the first step. We will ensure that your and our expectations are met and we are able to build up a long term partnership.

If you do not comply to all required criteria of a top interim management we provide you with a special mentoring through our partners in interim management. Young professional or younger manager get the possibility to qualify for the profession of an interim manager. To be able to successfully manage the first interim assignments and projects you will accompanied and coached from on of our partners with the assignment management. With this kind of mentoring we accompany you in the first projects. You will develop and build up the necessary essentials (tools and experience) for a successful interim manager. The above mentioned mentoring is also applied very successful through our co-operation with the master program restructuring and turnaround management. Students of this master program will be accompanied and supported from us during their master thesis in executing the implementation of case studies with companies. This is an unique mentoring and coaching approach for the young master students and future interim managers. Furthermore the students can get in touch with us to develop with our support and mentoring and with training-on-the-job to an interim manager after their university degree.

3. First meeting (initial conversation)

After positive completion of this first audit and evaluation we will invite you for a firt meeting to our office in Salzburg. We will present you our company GOiNTERIM and your benefits and advantages with in our team. In addition we invite you to present yourself and your motivation for your application and registration with GOiNTERIM. Within this initial conversation we will discuss routinely dteails of past and future tasks and work out strengths and potential assignments together for future projects.

4. Decision

On the basis of the conducted evaluation of all documents, of the personal conversation in our office and the conducted assessment we do have all necessities that you and we can decide a common Partner,ship. The decision is with reservation of obtaining of references.

5. Finalization

If we met together and decided a partnership we ask you in the last step to send us two case studies of successful interim management assignments and two to three specifically references.

After the final verification of the quality standards you will registered as an interim manager and/or partner with GOiNTERIM.

Last step is the preparation of a partner profile, a master agreement and the nest steps defined and scheduled. 

What is the expectation for a GOiNTERIM Partner

For GOiNTERIM partners additional selection criteria are applicable. We have higher quality demands and rigorous requirements regarding the track record and the successes in top assignments and interim management projects on senior level (C-level, board membership and/or general management). Ideally the partners arise from the active interim managers of the GOiNTERIM Member.Room and we know each other though several joint and successful projects.
